As of 31 July 2024, Dr Stephen Cox has retired from this private practice and will no longer be taking further appointments.

MSc – Master of Science (Oral Path) (1994)

PhD-Doctor of Philosophy- University of Sydney (2008)

Civil Awards: Order of Australia Medal (OAM) 1999 for services to the people of Nepal in the area of Oral Health

Dr Cox is a Specialist Oral Surgeon who has been providing oral surgery services  to the Central Coast for the past 20 years.  Dr Cox has operating privileges at both Gosford Private and Brisbane Waters Private Hospitals for general anaesthetic surgeries or can offer local anaesthetic procedures in our Gosford rooms.  Dr Cox is also a Specialist Consultant for Gosford District and Wyong Hospitals in the Central Coast LHD.

Currently Dr Cox is also a Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney (Faculty of Dentistry) and the Head of Discipline for post-graduate and graduate training in Oral Surgery (University of Sydney), as well as an examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.  Dr Cox has appointments at both Westmead Hospital (South Western LHD) and Nepean Hospital (Blue Mountains LHD) and is a Consultant for the Oral Surgery departments for International University and University of Health Sciences in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
